About Small Town Sheds
Aurora's Own Shed Dealer
Small Town Sheds is based right here in Aurora, Nebraska — at 213 S 16th St — selling and delivering portable buildings across Hamilton County and the towns around it. We're not a branch office of a statewide chain, and sheds aren't a side item we sell alongside something else. This is what we do, full stop, and we're the only dealer set up this way based in Aurora.
What "Authorized Derksen Dealer" Actually Means
Every building we sell is a genuine Derksen building. Derksen has been building portable structures since 1995, and the company's reputation rests on Mennonite craftsmanship — buildings built by hand, by people who take the work seriously, not stamped out on an assembly line. That's not marketing copy we're repeating; it's the actual reason we chose to be a Derksen dealer instead of building our own knockoff version. When you buy from us, you're getting that same construction quality and warranty backing, no matter which dealer's name is on the invoice.
Who You're Actually Talking To
When you call (402) 623-6818, you're not routed through a call center reading from a script for six different locations. You're talking to the people in Aurora who will walk the lot with you, help you pick a size and layout that actually fits your property, and be the ones who show up to deliver and set your building in place. If something needs attention after delivery, you call the same number and talk to the same dealer — not a different branch three towns over.
Why That's Different
There are bigger outfits in this part of Nebraska with more locations and bigger lots. There are also a few places around here that sell a shed or two off the side of a motorsports or auto lot. We're neither of those. We're a dedicated, single-location Derksen dealer, based in Aurora, doing one thing — which means when you have a question about your building, you're calling someone who actually knows it, not transferring between departments.
